How to repair the boot sector in Windows Vista and Windows 7

Many times usually boot sectors get lost, but your files still remain intact on your hard drive, but because the boot of the system is corrupt you can’t enter in the operating system.

The following steps will show you how to repair the boot system for Windows Vista and Windows 7:

1 .- Put the installation disc in your optical drive

2 .- Change the boot mode for loading from the optical drive

3 .- Select the desired language preference and other settings until see the installation screen.

4 .- Choose Repair your computer and then select Command Prompt

5 .- Now type “bootrec.exe” and press “Enter to repair the operating system boot like if you have a new instalation, but without losing any of your files or applications.
